Contractors & Field Services
You need estimates, signatures, invoices, and card payments. Stripe handles payments — KoPay handles everything else, connected to Stripe natively.
Stripe-powered payments, without the developer setup
Stripe is built for developers. KoPay is built for small business owners who need invoicing, estimates, fee pass-through, and online payments — without writing a single line of code or hiring someone who can.
Stripe is a developer platform
Stripe is one of the most powerful payment processors in the world. It handles billions in transactions for some of the largest companies on the internet. But it was built for software developers — not for a plumber who needs to send an estimate, get it signed, and collect payment the same week.
To use Stripe effectively as a small service business, you typically need to either hire a developer to build a custom payment and invoicing system, or stitch together third-party tools — an invoicing app here, a signature tool there, a Stripe integration that may or may not stay connected. The result is fragile, expensive, and takes your attention away from running the business.
KoPay is built on Stripe's payment infrastructure and wraps it in everything a service business actually needs: professional invoices with line items and taxes, estimate creation with digital sign-off, one-click estimate-to-invoice conversion, processing fee pass-through, a customer CRM, team permissions, and revenue reports. No API keys. No webhooks. No code.
We're a US-based team that built KoPay because we kept hearing the same story from small business owners — "I tried to use Stripe directly and it was too technical" or "I have three different tools and they don't talk to each other." KoPay is the single platform that replaces that mess. We update it based on real feedback from real service businesses, and we're free during beta.
Who it's for
If you've tried to use Stripe directly for invoicing and found it lacking, or if you're currently using multiple disconnected tools to manage your billing workflow, KoPay was built for you.
You need estimates, signatures, invoices, and card payments. Stripe handles payments — KoPay handles everything else, connected to Stripe natively.
Professional invoice delivery, payment links, and revenue tracking without building a custom billing system or paying for enterprise software.
Plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs — high-volume service businesses that need the full invoicing workflow and the ability to pass card fees to customers.
If you've priced out a custom Stripe integration and realized it's not in the budget, KoPay gives you the same payment reliability with a ready-to-use business platform on top.
Using one tool for invoicing, another for payments, and a third for signatures? KoPay consolidates all of that into a single platform that talks to itself properly.
Add office staff, field technicians, and managers with role-based permissions. Everyone gets the right level of access without sharing one login.
Stripe directly vs KoPay
Stripe does have an invoicing feature — Stripe Invoicing. It's functional for simple use cases, but it leaves out a lot of what service businesses need. There's no estimate creation, no digital signature collection, no built-in fee pass-through that works without custom configuration, and no customer CRM.
If you want an estimate-to-invoice workflow using Stripe natively, you're building it yourself or paying someone to build it. If you want processing fee pass-through, you need to configure it at the Stripe account level — which requires understanding tax settings, invoice metadata, and webhook handling.
KoPay handles all of this out of the box. You connect Stripe, configure your business in KoPay settings, and you have a complete invoicing platform in under 10 minutes. Fee pass-through is built in and works automatically on every invoice. Create an estimate and send it for signature from the same interface where you'll send the final invoice. See every customer's complete invoice history in their record.
We built KoPay specifically because the gap between "Stripe for payments" and "a complete invoicing platform" was too large for most service businesses to bridge on their own. And because we kept meeting business owners who were duct-taping together tools that didn't really work together. KoPay is what that gap looks like when it's filled properly.
What KoPay adds on top of Stripe
Create branded invoices with line items, tax rates, and due dates. Track status — draft, sent, paid, overdue — from a dashboard built for service businesses.
Quote jobs before the work starts. Send an estimate for digital sign-off, then convert it to an invoice in one click — no retyping, no double entry.
Stripe charges a processing fee on every payment. KoPay passes that fee to the customer — calculated automatically, shown as a line item, no custom config needed.
Every customer record includes contact info, notes, and full invoice history. Stripe doesn't have a CRM — KoPay does, and it's connected to everything else.
Add team members with role-based access — owners, admins, viewers. No Stripe dashboard sharing, no managing multiple Stripe accounts for your team.
See collected revenue, outstanding balances, and payment trends in one view — without exporting CSVs from Stripe and analyzing them in a spreadsheet.

Getting started
Sign up with your business email. Add your company name, logo, and tax settings. KoPay walks you through the setup — every field is clearly labeled.
Link an existing Stripe account or create one. KoPay handles the connection through Stripe's secure OAuth flow — no API keys to copy, no webhooks to configure.
Create an invoice and send it. The processing fee is automatically added to the customer's total — your customer pays via Stripe, you get notified, and the full amount deposits to your bank account.
